Manufactured in Betim (MG), compact SUV was a pioneer in technologies and paved the way for the Abarth sports division in the country
Launched on the market in October 2021, the Fiat Pulse has just reached two expressive and strategic milestones in the Brazilian automotive market: a total of 250 thousand units produced and a volume of 200 thousand vehicles sold. Manufactured at the Stellantis Automotive Plant, in Betim (MG), the model was the brand’s first SUV developed entirely nationally, marking its offensive in the competitive segment of compact and subcompact SUVs, where today it competes for consumer preference with consolidated rivals such as Volkswagen Nivus, Renault Kardian, Chevrolet Sonic and VW Tera, among others.
The pioneering spirit of the Pulse was not restricted to the shape of the body. The compact was responsible for debuting the advanced driving assistance package (ADAS) among the manufacturer’s national vehicles. In addition, it served as the structural basis for the launch of the Pulse Abarth, which holds the title of the first SUV in the sports division produced in the world.

To maintain competitiveness in the most disputed category in the country, the automaker had to invest in constant updates. The most significant breakthrough occurred with the introduction of the mild hybrid system (MHEV). Linked to the 1.0 turbo engine, which yields 130 hp and 20,4 kgfm, and the simulated seven-speed CVT automatic transmission, the electrified set delivers a reduction of up to 10,7% in fuel consumption compared to combustion variants.
For the recently presented 2026 line, the Pulse got its first restyling. The front end has been refreshed with a new grille of vertical elements, a redesigned bumper and functional air intakes. To increase sophistication, the brand also started to offer the panoramic sunroof as an option, a feature still rare among compacts.
Currently, the utility is sold in six versions. The base of the range uses the 1.3 Firefly engine (107 hp and 13,7 kgfm). The intermediate options use the Turbo 200, encompassing the two mild hybrid configurations. At the top of the catalog, focused on performance, the Abarth sports car is powered by the 1.3 Turbo 270 engine (185 hp and 27.5 kgfm).
