Manufacturer has expanded the range of its entry-level compact, including an adventurous option, a more equipped 1.0, a van and other better ones
Chevrolet officially launched the Onix Eco, powered only by ethanol, along with the 2027 line. The year/model change also officially brought the Activ version, the Pro and returned with the Log van.

In the 2027 line, all versions of the Onix and Onix Plus received a reversing camera. Only the hatch received the new translucent taillights with a smoked mask, being in line with the style adopted in the sedan.
Another improvement for the entire line is the eight years of free coverage in the OnStar Basics connected services, which includes remote diagnostics and access to the myChevrolet App with features such as vehicle location, remote locking and unlocking of the doors and, in the most sophisticated versions, remote engine activation to pre-air the cabin. The Onix buyer also has a three-month trial of the Protect plan, which includes services such as safe monitoring and automatic response in case of an accident, in addition to on-board Wi-Fi.




Since the Webmotors portal found that Chevrolet would launch an ethanol-only version of the Onix, there was a doubt about what would be changed. The Eco version will be offered in hatch and sedan bodies, always with a 1.0 turbo engine and automatic transmission, to fit the model into a wider range of tax exemptions from the Mover Program.
As Chevrolet’s 1.0 turbo engine was already flex from launch, it was not necessary to make major changes. It received a new software calibration so that it can work only with ethanol more efficiently than the flex model, did not change parts and other components.
According to Chevrolet, the Onix Eco 2027 is more economical than the flex model when fueled with ethanol. The example given was the consumption of 11.1 km/l on the highway within the Inmetro cycle, 0.2 km/l better than the flex.
Performance also received a slight improvement, with zero to 100 km/h being completed in 10.5 seconds (0.1 s better) and resumption from 80 to 120 km/h being done in 8.3 seconds (0.4 s better).
The brand has not yet released the complete consumption data or the car’s technical sheet. Power is still limited to 115 hp, as the exemptions from the Mover Program only cover vehicles with up to 116 hp.
It is important to remember that the 1.0 turbo engine of the Chevrolet Onix continues with sequential fuel injection in the intake duct. It does not have direct injection like Tracker, Sonic and Montana.






Chevrolet followed Fiat’s strategy of keeping an adventurous version of its hatch along with the entry-level SUV that uses the same base. The new Onix Activ 2027 is positioned where the LTZ Turbo model was within the range.
The new Onix Activ has a more discreet decoration than the first generation, it does not have plastic appliqués on the bodywork. To identify it, you need to notice the raised suspension, the functional roof rack and the smoked taillights.
Its clearance is 20.1 cm, the angle of attack is 19.7° and the departure angle is 28.1°. It’s better than many SUVs and allows you to better tackle dirt roads or urban obstacles like bumps and ditches.
Chevrolet equips the Onix Activ 2027 with a 1.0 turbo flex engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. The model brings the package of the late LTZ version, with an 8-inch digital panel, 11-inch multimedia center and seats that mix fabric with synthetic upholstery.
Chevrolet revived the 100 Years limited edition formula in the 2027 Onix line with the Pro special edition.
The proposal is to offer a more equipped aspirated Onix 1.0, for those who prioritize economy more than performance. It is a formula similar to that of the Peugeot 208 Style.
The model includes alloy wheels with a 16-inch rim, a reversing camera and seats that combine fabric with synthetic coating to the 1.0 MT model package. This entry-level version already had air conditioning, multimedia center, electrically adjustable mirrors, twilight sensor, face-to-face key, six airbags and native Wi-Fi.
The Chevrolet Onix Pro 2027 may come in Summit White, Black Gold Black, Shark Silver, Boreal Blue and Scarlet Red colors. The late 100 years edition came only in Azul Boreal.






With the demand for urban deliveries increasing, Chevrolet has returned to offering the Onix Log. It is a van version of the hatch, along the lines of the old Fiat Uno Van, to carry light volumes.
It is based on the entry-level 1.0 MT model and has the same equipment package. The rear seat is removed and a partition is installed behind the front seats. It is fixed where the rear PQP handles would be and has a small window for the interior mirror to remain useful.
The load capacity is 375 kg including the weight of the driver and the passenger. The doors and rear windows remain functional, allowing access to the cargo compartment without needing the trunk lid.
