The first SUV of the ORA line in the country can now be reserved for a down payment of R$ 9 thousand; price will be revealed at the end of June
GWM opened this Monday (1st) the advance reservations of the Ora 05, its first 100% electric SUV in Brazil. The model can be reserved on the brand’s website, on Mercado Livre or at dealerships upon a deposit of R$ 9 thousand. The official price will be revealed on June 29.
Second of the Ora family in the country, after the Ora 03 hatchback, the SUV arrives to expand the presence of the Chinese manufacturer in an increasingly disputed and expanding segment in Brazil, where rivals such as BYD, Geely, Leapmotor, GAC and others are also advancing. The brand’s bet is on connectivity: the My GWM app allows you to remotely control functions such as climate control, door locking, vehicle location and battery monitoring.

Inside, the ORA 5 features a 14.6″ multimedia center with the Coffee OS3 system, a 10.25″ digital panel, voice command with artificial intelligence and internet connection. There is also compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and remote updates via OTA, which do not require trips to the dealership to renew the software.

With a length of 4.47 meters and a wheelbase of 2.72 meters, the SUV surpasses the ORA 03 by 23.6 cm in length and 7 cm between the axles, and accommodates five occupants. The equipment list includes an ADAS 2+ driving assistance package, V2L function to power external appliances, B-Call and E-Call emergency systems, panoramic sunroof with curtain and electrically adjustable front seats, in addition to an integrated spare tire, an item that the brand says it has designed for the national market.
The colors offered will be Zenith Gray, Khalifa Black, Crystal White and Electric Blue; inside, there are the Urban Graphite and Hazelnut Brown finishes.
GWM has not yet released data such as power, torque, battery capacity, autonomy, recharge time and versions. In its best variant, the SUV offers up to 243 hp and a range of 580 km (in the CLTC cycle, more optimistic). Exact numbers should come out on the eve of the launch, scheduled for the end of June.
