Jaguar-Land Rover models feature Panasonic purifying technology to inhibit bacteria and viruses, eliminate odors and promote hydration
When it comes to taking care of your respiratory health and having well-hydrated hair and skin, few people know that car air conditioning can play a big part in this. Being up to date with the maintenance of this system is essential to avoid problems, but Jaguar-Land Rover (JLR) went further and created a system that moisturizes skin and hair and inhibits viruses, bacteria, odors and allergy foci.
This air filtration technology called nanoe X was developed by Panasonic and is used in the brand’s most modern models to obtain a cabin with the purest air possible.

The technology uses high voltage to generate hydroxyl radicals on a nanometer scale that, according to JLR, act within the ventilation/air conditioning assembly to inhibit viruses, bacteria, odors and allergens inside the cabin.
Instead of just cooling or heating the air, the JLR vehicle system adds a layer of treatment with:

In tests commissioned by the manufacturer, the prototype system repelled up to 97% of viruses and bacteria in a 30-minute recirculation air simulation. The purification technology was tested against SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus) in the laboratory, with an inhibition result of more than 99.995% in a two-hour test carried out by Texcell.
The brand itself points out, however, that these are laboratory tests, not a guarantee of total elimination in real use.
In addition to this care with air free of microorganisms, Panasonic promises greater hydration from ultra-fine water ion nanoparticles that easily penetrate hair and skin. Results of studies conducted by the company have shown that the technology removes odors, combines with natural sebum to coat the skin, and prevents moisture from evaporating.
In addition, nanoe X also acts on the strands, contributing to a more hydrated and aligned appearance, reducing frizz. This technology is even used in the brand’s hair dryers.
JLR says that models from the Jaguar and Land Rover lines already offer nanoe or nanoe X technology. Depending on the market, version and package, this includes:
In the latest Range Rover, for example, the system appears as Cabin Air Purification Pro, combining dual-nanoe X, CO₂ management and PM2.5 filtration. In the Range Rover Sport, JLR informs that there is even a second nanoe X device for the second row, seeking to maintain more uniform air quality in the cabin.
