The presentation of this hypercar is scheduled for the 16th at the renowned Pebble Beach Elegance Contest, in California (USA). This exhibition is considered the most prestigious in the world to reward vintage and classic vehicles. Why could an automobile as extraordinary as it is modern be admitted? The answer was anticipated by the website of the English magazine Autocar.

Destrier is inspired by the example of the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, which used the same architecture as a track car, but featured a body so beautiful that it went down in automobile history. It features the improved carbon fiber composite monocoque from the single unit of the 2021 Bugatti La Voiture Noire, which has now had its style modernized. It uses the same W16, 8-liter, four turbochargers, 1,600 hp, 163 kgfm, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in an estimated 2.4 s, an extraordinary mark for a combustion engine even after five years.

However, the French manufacturer has not yet revealed all the technical data, including power, torque and acceleration time of its new model, certainly lighter.
It is the tallest car — just one meter — ever built by the French brand, based in Molsheim. Style Director Frank Heil summed it up: “Destrier has taken us to the most extreme proportions we’ve ever created, limiting the relentless pursuit of ground effect (aerodynamic suction) in favor of pure sculpture.”
Its estimated price, which will not be disclosed, is expected to exceed US$ 20 million (more than R$ 100 million). He will only be allowed to circulate on competition tracks or on the lawns of elegance contests. However, the British company Lanzante recently adapted the only example from five years ago for use on public roads and would repeat this possibility, if the future owner so wished.
Destrier, in French, means a large, young, strong and very fast horse.
ICaur will debut with four SUVs in 2027
Chinese brands continue to show great interest in the Brazilian market. The newest, ICaur, is part of the Chery conglomerate, but will operate independently from the Brazilian group Caoa Chery. Premiere forecast is the first quarter of next year. All models will be SUVs and focused on the upper price segments. The look bets on straight lines, consecrated for decades by the English Land Rover, but highlighting modern and attractive style.
Strategy begins with imports and, later, local production in a schedule to be defined. It has yet to be decided whether to build an entirely new factory or negotiate with an existing one. Today there are three manufacturing units stopped: Toyota, in Indaiatuba (SP), Caoa Chery, in Jacareí (SP) and Land Rover, in Itatiaia (RJ).
The entry-level SUV, V23, is a traditional electric model (Renegade size), with 136 hp, rear-wheel drive, pronounced wheel arches and an external compartment in the trunk lid (side-opening) to store electric charging cables or trail accessories. Rear columns are not glazed.
Intermediate models V25 and V27 are extended-range electric (EREV) that remove battery recharge concerns in case of travel. Chinese competitor Leapmotor already offers this solution here (C10 SUV). Icaur V27 should first hit the market with a 1.5 hp 154 turbo combustion engine that works exclusively to drive a power generator, while the electric motors are responsible for moving the wheels.
The most powerful version of the V27 will have no less than 455 hp, 4×4 traction and a range of up to 1,200 km at the always very optimistic Chinese measurement value. In the Brazilian Inmetro cycle, the approvals are very close to the actual use. As a reference, the BMW iX3, with 459 hp, to be launched next week, considered the electric with the longest range, appears in the official table with an average distance of 570 km.
V29, top of the line, more than five meters long, also EREV, has not yet had details announced.
