Verification carried out in all capitals of Brazil points out that the suggested price of R$ 10,580 is far from the reality of consumers
The suggested public price is something that bothers Brazilian motorcyclists when purchasing a model, after all it is a value not practiced by all brand dealerships that have this type of policy. The recently updated Honda Pop 110i ES is proof of this, as it can cost up to 58% more than the value proposed by the Japanese.
A survey carried out by AutoPapo found that motorcycle prices can vary from R$ 12,690 to R$ 16,750, depending on the region and the dealership. Its suggested public price is R$ 10.580.

According to the findings, the capital with the cheapest value is Rio de Janeiro, with a cash value of R$ 12,690. The highest price is in Manaus, where the model costs R$ 16.750 in one of the brand’s authorized stores.
The price of the Honda Pop is, in practice, 12.95% more expensive, considering the best of the options throughout the Brazilian territory, and 58.3% in the most expensive region of the country, according to the survey.

Some manufacturers, not only of motorcycles, have the practice of having an official value of their products, called the suggested public price (PPS). This value, as the name implies, is recommended, but not mandatory. To arrive at the final value, charges such as shipping and others (such as shopkeepers’ profit) are applied.
In a post published on AutoPapo’s social networks, on the date of the launch of the new version of Honda Pop, the price of the model was harshly criticized by users. Most questioned the real value of the model in the brand’s stores.
As incredible as it may seem, the PPS tries to be a friend of the citizen, since it gives an official basis of how much that motorcycle should cost. The point is that Law No. 8,132/90 (Ferrari Law) regulates dealerships and manufacturers, thus prohibiting the automaker from selling directly to the final consumer. Such a move guarantees the concessionaires autonomy and gives them the right to set their own sales prices.

Another point to note is that the 2027 version of the new Pop has not yet reached all the brand’s dealerships, and most of them still sell the 2026 variant, which has a suggested price of R$ 10.380. That is, with the arrival of the new version, the values may rise even more.
During the launch of the model, Honda said that the changes that guaranteed an increase of R$ 200 in the PPS came precisely for a low readjustment and to try to keep the price as close to the current one, without sudden increases with the update.
