With extreme power and a range of 705 km, the Chinese tech giant's new model combines SUV bodywork with track performance
Tech giant Xiaomi has officially unveiled the YU7 GT during its major tech event focused on the Chinese market. The high-performance SUV arrives to intensify the strong competition in the Asian segment of electric vehicles, with a starting price set at 389,900 yuan — the equivalent of about R$ 294,000 in direct conversion. Consumers interested in an even more aggressive aesthetic can purchase the GT Sports Kit bundle under promotional launch conditions. The top-of-the-line configuration, called Big Full Pack and equipped with all the brand’s technological innovations, is sold for 429,900 yuan (R$ 324,000).

The Gran Turismo nomenclature positions the utility vehicle as a vehicle with technical track specifications, but with the necessary comfort for long road trips. The YU7 GT’s great asset lies under the hood, driven by the V8s EVO electric motor developed by Xiaomi itself. The engine is capable of spinning at 28,000 rpm, delivering an impressive 990 hp.
With this robust mechanical set, the SUV records acceleration numbers that rival traditional combustion super sports cars. The model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.92 seconds, with a top speed limited to 300 km/h. To sustain this performance, the brand adopted a 101.7 kWh battery mounted on an advanced 897 V electrical architecture. The structure guarantees a range of 705 km in the Chinese test cycle (CLTC) and enables an ultra-fast charging system, recovering 570 km of range in just 15 minutes connected to the outlet.

The dynamic behavior also received special attention from the manufacturer. The car features intelligent dual-chamber air suspension, which was finely calibrated at the demanding Nürburgring circuit in Germany. To brake the more than two tons of the utility vehicle in complete safety, the engineering adopted gigantic carbon-ceramic brake discs bitten by high-performance Akebono calipers, stopping the vehicle from 100 to 0 km/h in a space of only 32.9 meters.
Inside, Xiaomi bet on an environment that combines extreme luxury and technology. The cabin has 2.3 square meters of Alcantara upholstery and front seats with massage, in addition to an exclusive emblem made of carbon fiber and 24-karat gold. Focused on interior silence, the cabin employs multi-layered acoustic glass and a 25-speaker premium sound system integrated with active noise cancellation, fully isolating occupants from the outside environment.
