The options for racing games are smaller today, but we found five good ones to ensure fun on the weekend
The release of Forza Horizon 6 brought racing games back into the spotlight. The setting in Japan and the graphical improvements attracted even those who are not fans of the genre.
With the weekend just around the corner, turning on the video game can be a good option for those who have no plans. Here we will list five good options for racing games that are currently available.

The new Forza Horizon looks like it was made with fan reviews in mind. The setting in Japan was an old request, as well as a better structured career progression.

Another fun, accessible, and cross-platform option is Hot Wheels Unleashed 2. The second edition of the acclaimed game came with good improvements and was even nominated for awards.
What plays against it is the amount of DLCs, which make the game more expensive for those who want to have all the cars. But the base version already features more than 130 different models, all inspired by real Hot Wheels miniatures.
Those who open the simulators section of Steam will find all kinds of random games, from farm simulators to supermarket simulators. A traditional series of the genre is the truck series, which today has Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.
Our recommendation is the North American version, as it has a greater variety of scenarios, wider roads and allows you to drive trucks different from those we see on our roads. The game was released in 2016 and receives constant updates with improvements in graphics, new trucks, customizations, more challenging freight, and map expansions.
