Hyundai bets on cutting-edge technology and design inspired by luxury furniture to renew its sedan in South Korea
Hyundai made official, in South Korea, the first major update of the seventh generation of the Grandeur, the luxury sedan that has already been marketed in the Brazilian market under the name of Azera. The redesign is not limited to aesthetics, but positions the model on a new technological level, bringing it closer to the sophistication of Genesis, the manufacturer’s luxury arm. The renovation focuses on a more immersive and minimalist cabin experience.
Visually, the Azera 2027 adopts the “shark nose” philosophy, characterized by an elongated hood and a front grille unified with the air intakes in chrome finish. The LED lighting bar, a trademark of the model, was maintained, but now displays a thinner and frameless profile. The changes in the bumpers raised the total length by 1.5 cm, reaching 5.05 meters.

The central highlight of the restyling lies in the cabin, which seeks references in the interior design of high-end residences. The panel abandons the old configuration of dual displays to adopt a giant 17″ screen. The control unit runs the Pleos Connect system, based on Android Automotive, and integrates the climate and entertainment functions in a fully digital and intuitive interface.
One of the most curious solutions is the electric air vents. Instead of manual adjustments, wind flow and direction are electronically controlled by the multimedia, allowing diffusers to be hidden in the panel design when not in use. In addition, the model incorporates a panoramic roof with “smart glass” technology, which alternates opacity on demand, and finishes that combine authentic wood with brushed metals.

Under the hood, the range is still composed of the 2.5-liter aspirated engine, the efficient 1.6-liter turbo hybrid and the high-performance 3.5-liter V6, the latter with an all-wheel drive option. In South Korea, sales start with prices starting at approximately R$ 143 thousand in direct conversion. Although Hyundai has not yet defined the schedule for the international market, the expectation is that the model will land in other countries in the second half of 2026.
