Renault will apply a reduction of R$ 22 thousand in the list price of the Boreal during the month of May. The initiative seeks to increase the competitiveness of the medium SUV against consolidated rivals, such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and the Jeep Compass. With the new positioning, the utility is now sold from R$ 176.900, in a value that puts it in the same price range as top-of-the-line versions of compact SUVs.
To boost sales, the French manufacturer also introduced a zero-rate financing condition. The offer requires a down payment of 60% of the value of the vehicle, with the remaining balance paid in installments over 24 months without interest.

Performance and internal refinement
Under the hood, the Boreal is equipped with the 1.3 turbo TCe flex engine, which delivers 163 hp and 27,5 kgfm. The engine works in conjunction with an automated dual-clutch transmission (EDC). Visually, the model stands out for its entirely LED optical assembly with an elongated design, following the brand’s current global visual identity.
Inside, the experience is enhanced by a soft-touch finish and comfort features such as front seats with massage function. The instrument panel is digital and the multimedia center has a 10″ screen, complemented by a customizable ambient lighting system. The cabin offers improved sound insulation and driver-oriented ergonomics, with wireless connectivity for smartphones.
Technology and active safety
In the field of safety, the midsize SUV offers a package with 24 driver assistance systems (ADAS). The set allows level 2 semi-autonomous driving, including adaptive cruise control (ACC) with Stop&Go function, which allows the vehicle to stop and resume gear automatically in traffic jams, as well as lane keeping assistant and autonomous emergency braking.
By combining the significant discount with credit facilities, Renault tries to attract consumers looking for larger size and technology without exceeding the budget of a smaller model. The movement reflects the intensification of the dispute in the fastest growing segment in the Brazilian automobile market.
