During the Beijing Motor Show, Chery unveiled the Arrizo S, the prototype that anticipates the brand’s new top of the line among sedans. The model caught the attention of the public and critics for its aesthetic similarity to Audi’s current design language, signaling an onslaught by the Chinese manufacturer in the luxury segment with a focus on visual sophistication and performance.

The Arrizo S adopts a four-door body with proportions that refer directly to the German manufacturer’s sports models. The front combines angular headlights and hexagonal grille with air intakes similar to those of the Audi RS6 and RS7, while the side profile bears similarities to the new A5. At the rear, the sedan sports an LED strip connecting the taillights, a visual solution reminiscent of the Audi A7.

Despite the aggressive visual appeal, reinforced by the 19″ wheels, four exhaust outlets and integrated spoiler, the mechanical configuration suggests a proposal for everyday use with extra breath. The sedan is equipped with a 2.0 turbo engine with 257 hp and 39,8 kgfm, associated with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Unlike other recent launches of the brand, this version does not have the aid of electrification.

Inside, the Arrizo S offers a technological environment with a dashboard that integrates a digital instrument panel and a large multimedia center. The finish combines brown-toned finishes, wood accents and customisable ambient lighting. External sensors indicate that the model will be equipped with the “Falcon Intelligent Driving”, Chery’s driving assistance package that includes autonomous driving features.

The production version of the Arrizo S is expected to be launched in China by the end of 2026. The model should occupy the highest step of the manufacturer’s catalog, positioning itself above the current Arrizo 8.
