Model grows in length, adopts Prelude-inspired grille and reinforces technology package to intensify competition in the compact sedan segment
Honda is preparing a restyling for the City line, scheduled to be launched in Brazil in the second half of 2026. While the national design tends to be exclusive, there are already hints of what’s to come, thanks to new shots of the restyled City without camouflage in India. Through it, it is clear that the automaker’s strategy is to adapt the look to ensure a more robust appearance to intensify the dispute with direct rivals, such as Volkswagen Virtus and Hyundai HB20S.

The main aesthetic change of the sedan will be concentrated in the front, which will display a more prominent front. The brand’s logo will be positioned above a new beehive-shaped grille, a style that refers to the lines of Prelude. The optical assembly has also been updated: the full LED headlights will be more tapered, integrating into a bumper with redesigned air passages to optimize aerodynamics.

The redesign of these components will make the vehicle grow about three centimeters, measuring 4.57 meters in length. Despite the external gain, the base of the vehicle is maintained. The sedan preserves the wheelbase of 2.60 meters and the generous trunk of 519 liters of capacity.
Under the hood, the manufacturer opted for continuity. The City 2027 will maintain the well-known 1.5-liter direct injection engine, with 126 hp and 15,5 kgfm, always associated with the CVT-type automatic transmission that simulates seven gears.
Internally, the cabin should adopt new coatings. The convenience package will be improved from the entry-level version, the LX, which should incorporate face-to-face key and push-button start. The Honda Sensing advanced safety package, which includes autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, remains one of the pillars of the range. At dealerships, prices should remain competitive, fluctuating between R$ 117,500 and R$ 153,200.
