Medium SUV receives design updates, redesigned cabin and advances in electric and extended range versions, which is the most sought after in Brazil
Leapmotor officially presented in China the updated version of the C10, a medium SUV that is already sold in Brazil and is scheduled for national production in 2027. The news confirms speculation raised after a prototype of the model was spotted under camouflage in May by AutoPapo, in China, anticipating visual and technical changes that have now been detailed by the manufacturer.
Of its changes, the front was completely redesigned and now adopts a split optical set, with thinner and more horizontal daytime running lights. The main headlights are now positioned at the ends of the bumper, following a trend adopted by several Chinese manufacturers. At the rear, the changes are more discreet, keeping the taillights connected by a light bar.

The main novelties, however, are in the mechanics. In the REEV configuration, the main electric motor now delivers 272 hp, compared to the previous 215 hp. The range in electric mode also grows from 140 km to 190 km in the Chinese WLTC cycle. The 1.5-liter combustion engine continues to act only as an energy generator, expanding the vehicle’s total range.
The all-electric version has also evolved. The engine now delivers up to 230 kW, or 312 hp, while maintaining the rear-wheel drive architecture and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
Inside, the SUV gained a larger multimedia center, head-up display (HUD), revised finish and front seats with new leg and lumbar supports. Among the highlights are also the full recline function of the front seats, retractable tables and redesigned cup holders for rear passengers.
The updates come at a time when Leapmotor seeks to expand its international presence and prepares to start production of the C10 in Brazil through a partnership with Stellantis, in the industrial complex of Goiana (PE). The manufacturer is also developing a REEV flex solution aimed specifically at the Brazilian market.
