Stellantis has started serial production of the new Jeep Avenger at its Porto Real (RJ) plant. This manufacturing unit was “inherited” from the PSA group (Peugeot-Citroën) after the creation of Stellantis and is currently responsible for the manufacture of the Citroën C3, Aircross and Basalt. The only technical information released by the automaker is that the model will be equipped with the T200 MHEV 12 V mild hybrid engine. This engine today equips the Fiat Pulse and Fastback.

What is known about the Avenger
The Jeep Avenger will be the brand’s entry model in Brazil. In addition to them, the Renegade, the Compass and the Commander are produced here, but these three are made in Goiana (PE). While the current three are mounted on the Small Wide platform, the new Jeep is made at CMP, but an evolution currently used in the Peugeot and Citroën models: it is the same used in Europe and fully ready for electrification.
As for the engine, according to journalist Marlos Ney Vidal of Autos Segredos, it will lose power compared to what equips Fiat models today: it will drop from 130 hp to 116 hp, but the torque of 20.4 kgfm will be maintained.
In mid-May, Jeep itself revealed images of the Avenger’s interior. The projections anticipate a minimalist layout cabin, with a focus on ergonomics and a technological leap compared to current models in the same category that use the Stellantis group’s CMP modular platform.

Finishing
The Avenger panel follows a horizontal theme, standing out for the 10.25″ floating multimedia center integrated with the Uconnect system. The set is complemented by a fully digital instrument panel and a colored strip that crosses the console, harmonizing with the exterior color of the bodywork.
Unlike other models of the brand, the Avenger adopts physical buttons for air conditioning control just below the air vents, prioritizing practicality while driving. Compared to the European Avenger, however, an important change is noticed: the inclusion of the gear lever in the center console, replacing the gear selector disc.
In addition to ergonomics, Jeep reinforces that the internal design prioritizes storage, with several storage compartments that add up to 34 liters of capacity in the front. The center console also features a modular design, allowing for the removal of dividers to accommodate larger items.
