Renault Kardian Vibe maintains power, but consumption is up to 15.3 km/l

Renault Kardian Vibe 2027 arrives with a turbo engine and consumption of up to 15,3 km/lRenault presented the Kardian Vibe 2027, a new version of the compact SUV that is now part of the 2027 line of the model. The configuration combines the 125 hp TCe 1.0 turbo engine with a six-speed manual transmission and hits the market with a starting price of R$ 99.990.

The version also received mechanical and aerodynamic changes that, according to Renault, resulted in reduced consumption, emissions and improved performance compared to the previous configuration.

Kardian Vibe receives changes to reduce consumption

The main technical changes are in the mechanical assembly and bodywork. Renault’s engineering reduced the vehicle’s mass by 43 kg and reduced the frontal area by 6%.

The model now uses 15-inch wheels with aerodynamically designed hubcaps, had the height reduced and received adjustments in the airflow around the body. These changes were combined with the recalibration of the powertrain.

Another change is in the final ratio of the manual transmission, which went from 4,500 to 3,867. In practice, the engine works at lower revs at cruising speeds, contributing to lower consumption and emissions.

According to Renault, the result was a 6% gain in energy efficiency and a 7% reduction in CO₂ emissions.

consumptionAccording to data from Inmetro’s Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV), the Kardian Vibe 2027 has the following numbers:

• Urban consumption with gasoline: 13.7 km/l
• Road consumption with gasoline: 15.3 km/l
• Urban consumption with ethanol: 9.3 km/l
• Road consumption with ethanol: 10.9 km/l
• Energy efficiency: 1.49 MJ/km
• CO₂ emissions: 7% reduction compared to the previous configuration

Renault also reports that urban consumption with gasoline has improved by 8% compared to the previous model.

Performance improves with no change in power

The TCe 1.0 flex turbo engine maintains 125 hp of power and 22,4 kgfm of torque. According to the brand, 2 or 90% of the maximum torque is available from 1,750 rpm.

With the adjustments made to the set, the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h decreased.

In the previous configuration, the times were 11.0 seconds with ethanol and 11.4 seconds with gasoline.

1.0 turbo engine has direct

injection

The TCe 1.0 used by the Kardian Vibe 2027 is produced in Paraná by Horse. The engine uses direct injection with a pressure of 200 bar, turbocharger with electronic wastegate valve and double variable valve timing with electric actuators.

The six-speed JX22 manual transmission is also produced by Horse, in Portugal. The first three gears have shorter ratios, while fifth and sixth gears have been adjusted to reduce engine speed at higher speeds.

The new version also visually differs from the other Kardian configurations. On the outside, elements such as the front grille, spoiler, mirrors, door handles and shark antenna are finished Shine Black.

In the cabin, the dashboard and seats are finished in blue. The model also has a new TFT instrument panel. The 8-inch multimedia center maintains Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with the possibility of wireless mirroring. Another equipment available is the digital air conditioner with automatic function.

The Kardian Vibe 2027 comes with six airbags as standard, two front, two side and two curtain. The list also includes electronic stability and traction controls, tire pressure monitoring and rear parking sensors.

Price and colors

The Kardian Vibe 2027 will be sold for R$ 99.990 and arrives at dealerships in September. The version will be available in Nacré black, Glacier white, Étoile silver and Cassiopée gray.

It will also be possible to combine the body colors with a biton roof in Nacré black or Etoile gray.

The new configuration now occupies the entry position in the Kardian line and, according to Renault, meets the criteria of the Sustainable Car Program, a federal initiative aimed at vehicles produced in Brazil with certain energy efficiency indexes.
