MG Motor has announced the arrival of SAIC’s modern luxury division, IM. The cars will be sold inside MG dealerships in a dedicated space.
The first product will be the IM6, a large coupe SUV. The initial configuration for Brazil has two electric motors, one on each axle, which deliver 797 hp. The autonomy is 400 km in the Inmetro cycle.

A differential of the IM6 for this segment is the four-wheel steering, which allows reducing the turning circle in maneuvers. The model also has an 800-volt electrical architecture, which allows ultra-fast recharges.
The interior is dominated by screens: a large and horizontal one joining the instrument panel with the multimedia center and one just for the air conditioning. The cabin also has 20 speakers, four of which are mounted on the ceiling.
The launch of IM6 will only be in October, where prices and booking conditions will be disclosed. MG will offer certified armor through BSS for those who want this additional protection.
MG4 Urban already has a date to be national
In addition to bringing this new luxury division, MG also announced news for the new 4 Urban. It will be assembled at the PACE plant in Ceará, starting between October and November 2026.
The brand also confirmed that it is expanding the dealership network, with a forecast to reach 70 points by the end of the year. This expansion plan includes other releases coming in 2027
