If you work as a taxi driver or app driver and are thinking of getting a new car, now can be a great time thanks to Move Brasil Taxi and Apps. The Federal Government program launched a billionaire credit line to facilitate the renewal of individual passenger transport fleets and boost the acquisition of new cars with exclusive conditions and reduced interest rates.

The program is part of a measure by the Government of Brazil that makes it easier for taxi and app drivers to buy new cars at lower interest rates. The program establishes financing lines with facilitated conditions, exclusive for the acquisition of new cars, and aimed specifically at professionals who work in individual passenger transport.
Managed by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC) and operated via BNDES, Move Brasil Taxi and Apps has a budget of R$ 30 billion. The great differential is the use of the Investment Guarantee Fund (FGI-Peac), which covers up to 80% of the credit risk, facilitating the approval of financing by commercial banks.
The program was specifically designed to support regulated self-employed professionals in individual passenger transport. The eligibility criteria are:
Attention to the limit: each beneficiary (per CPF) can finance only one vehicle. In the case of taxi cooperatives, the maximum limit allowed is one car per cooperative member.
To promote gender equality and encourage female entrepreneurship, Move Brasil provides differentiated credit conditions for women drivers and taxi drivers, offering even lower interest rates and more flexible grace and payment terms.
The interest rates set by the National Monetary Council are up to 0.99% per month for men and up to 0.91% per month for women.

The financing term defined by the National Monetary Council is up to 72 months and the grace period is up to six months.
Taxi drivers should be aware that to have their registration approved it is necessary to have applied for exemption from Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI) in the last two years. The request can be made on the government services portal and once approved, it is possible to redo your registration on Move Brasil Taxi and Apps.
