GWM is preparing the launch of two more SUVs in Brazil, the Haval H7 and the Tank 400. They will arrive to reinforce the range with more electrified options, but each will have a different proposal.
AutoPapo was caught with these two models running in tests in Brazil. They are expected to be launched in 2026. See what we already know about them.

GWM Haval H7

Boxy-looking SUVs are on the rise in China. The Haval H7 will be an offer with this format so that you don’t need a model with a chassis and reduced 4×4 traction, like the Haval H9 and the Tank 300.
The new Haval H7 shares the platform with the successful H6, which is already produced in Brazil. From the brother will also come the flex plug-in hybrid mechanical set, possibly the configuration of the PHEV35 model.

The similarities with the Haval H9 will only be visual, as the new H7 will have a monocoque structure and five seats. What was kept is the side opening of the trunk lid, which in some markets has the spare tire attached to it.
The interior of the model follows the pattern of Chinese cars of putting a screen prominently, but GWM was careful to keep buttons for important functions. The Haval H7 measures 4.80 m long, 1.95 m wide, 1.84 m high and 2.74 m wheelbase.
GWM Tank 400

For the Tank 400, GWM followed the traditional formula of SUVs. It has a ladder-type chassis, rigid axle rear suspension, 4×4 traction with reduced and off-road suitability.
The second model of the Tank line will be above the 300 model already sold here. Its differential is in its larger size, bulkier trunk and straighter look.
The Tank 400 uses the same mechanical set as the model that is already in line in Brazil. It combines the 2.0 turbo flex with an electric motor mounted inside the 9-speed gearbox, which allows it to have four-wheel drive regardless of who is supplying energy.

The traction is 4×4 with reduced, with locking in the front and rear differentials. To assist on tight trails there is the Tank Turn, which brakes the rear inner wheel to reduce the turning diameter.
The GWM Tank 400 has a more luxurious interior than its smaller brother, with a wider screen. It preserves physical buttons for commonly used functions and for off-road-related features.
GWM has a consistent launch strategy, with at least two novelties per year. In 2026 it has already presented the Ora 5, in addition to the flex versions of its plug-in hybrid models. This pair of jeeps will close the cycle of the year.
