Brand executives are already visiting potential suppliers in our market; model quoted for debut is the T1
BAIC Motor, one of the largest automakers in China, is already preparing its entry into the Brazilian market, with its debut scheduled for the last four months of this year. The information was confirmed to AutoPapo by brand executives during the Beijing Motor Show, this Friday (24).
In addition to the start of sales, BAIC is already planning the production of its vehicles in Brazil – initially under the CKD regime and with local partnerships. About a month ago, a delegation from the Chinese automaker visited a French multinational in the auto parts sector on an “exploratory and prospecting” basis.

The models that will be sold by BAIC in Brazil are not yet defined, but the brand has a remarkable performance among electrified vehicles, especially SUVs. But the most quoted is a compact electric car to reach one of the most sliced segments among BEVs, today, with the leadership of the BYD Dolphin Mini. It is the Arcfox T1.
The T1 has a 42.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, with a range of 425 km (by the “optimistic” Chinese CLTC cycle). The front electric motor has a power of 129 hp (95 kW).
The vehicle’s charging system allows 30% to 80% of the energy to be recovered in 16 minutes, according to the manufacturer’s technical specifications.
