Lotus Cars officially started operating in the country, coming through LTS Brasil. In charge of the operation is pilot Clemente Faria Junior, who also heads the Bamaq group.

Brazil will receive the complete Lotus lineup, which includes the Emira sports car, the Eletre SUV, the Emeya sedan and the Evija supercar. Today the British manufacturer belongs to the Geely group and has been positioned as a luxury brand focused on electrification.

The exception to this rule is the Emira, the brand’s last traditional combustion sports car. It is offered with a 2.0 turbo engine from Mercedes-AMG, with 365 hp and which works with a dual-clutch transmission. Another engine option is the 3.5 V6 with supercharger supplied by Toyota, which is combined with a six-speed manual transmission.

Among the photos released by LTS Brasil is one of the Emira center console with manual transmission, a good sign for enthusiasts. The company did not provide details on the settings chosen for the country.

The Evija super sports car was Lotus’ first electric car, with 2,039 hp. It uses four motors, one for each wheel, and can accelerate from zero to 300 km/h in 9.1 seconds.

What should be Lotus’ chief joint in Brazil is the Eletre SUV. It has the size of the Audi Q8 and was the first step towards the brand’s turning point in the luxury market.

It was sold only as electric, in 610 or 918 hp versions. In 2026 a plug-in hybrid version with 970 hp will be launched.

The Emeya sedan is the brother of the Eletre, positioned as a competitor to the Porsche Taycan. Currently it is only offered as electric, there is no confirmed hybrid model.

The Brazilian representation of Lotus has not yet given more details about the dealership network or the models that will be sold. But they guaranteed to have electric, plug-in hybrids and purely combustion models.
