Zontes recently launched in the Brazilian market a scooter with a bold and complete proposal, the 368G Adventure. As its name suggests, the model is a small (almost intermediate) with an adventurous characteristic, that is, it promises to serve those who want an urban, traveling or off-road motorcycle. In addition, it is packed with technology, but unfortunately it comes at a high cost: the new Zontes 368G Adventure has a suggested public price of R$ 45.800.

Standard equipment

The Zontes 368G Adventure arrives as one of the most complete scooters and motorcycles in the category. It has, as standard, items such as a windshield, fairing protector, radiator protector, double fog light, four USB sockets (two on the dashboard and two under the seat, with the possibility of installing two more in the glove compartment), hand protectors and pedals for rider and pillion.

In terms of technology, the Zontes 368G Adventure list is also extensive: full LED lights and DRL, tire pressure monitoring, 8-inch TFT digital panel with smartphone connectivity, traction control (off-road), ABS (off-road), Sport (asphalt) and Travel (off-road) driving modes and cruise control.

Mechanics of the Zontes 368G Adventure

The Zontes 368G Adventure has a 367.6 cm³ engine with considerable power and torque: 36 hp and 4 kgfm of torque. The transmission is an automatic CVT type — which uses a transmission belt — and liquid cooling (radiator).

The suspensions and brakes also stand out. At the front, there is a 154 mm coil suspension set with compression and rebound adjustment and a 300 mm disc with four-piston caliper.

At the rear, there are two shock absorbers with preload adjustment and 114 mm travel, in addition to a 240 mm brake disc. The front and rear spoked wheels are 17 and 14 inches, respectively, and the tires are tubeless.

Model Dimensions:

  • Height: 1,470 mm
  • Length: 2,230 mm
  • Width: 925 mm
  • Seat height: 795 mm
  • Wheelbase: 1,560 mm
  • Ground clearance: 180 mm

Highlight for the load and fuel capacities, since the Zontes 368G Adventure supports 191 kg and holds up to 17.5 liters of gasoline. Under the seat can fit up to two helmets.

First impressions with the Zontes adventurous scooter

The Zontes 368G Adventure managed to meet and even surprise in the first impressions of the model. Driving within the city proved to be quite efficient and, even on highways and off-road stretches, it behaved well.

At low speed and in the midst of cars, although it gives the impression of being a large and complicated motorcycle to tame, the small 368G proved to be light, easy to drive and very agile. Perhaps those who are not used to an automatic motorcycle with slightly larger dimensions may have difficulties with the throttle in the first few starts, something that adjusts after a few laps.

Comfort in the seat is also a positive point, which allows for long journeys without discomfort. The negative point is in the width of the seat and the height of the bike, which, for a Brazilian of average height (1.80 m), means standing on tiptoe.

The Zontes 368G Adventure has a good and strong output and can reach up to 135 km/h, but, in practice, from 110 km/h its development starts to be quite slow. Even so, accessing expressways is an easy task for her.

On lighter off-road stretches, it also does very well. With the possibility of turning off the electronic controls, the Zontes 368G Adventure proves to be a competent motorcycle on different types of terrain. The footpegs for off-road riding also help in this type of use, although the fairing bothers the calves in this position.

The fact is that the scooter, although not suitable for long trips or long bumpy routes, does well on roads and also on lighter stretches of land, in addition to being an excellent option for the city.
