Developed in partnership with the Chinese QJMotor, the Shineray SBM 250T bets on a competitive technical set to attract consumers who seek to move up in category without investing higher values. The model is positioned between trails from 250 to 300 cc, with a proposal for mixed use – both on asphalt and off-road terrain.
One of the main highlights of the SBM 250T is the 249 cm³ single-cylinder engine, with four valves, dual camshaft (DOHC) and liquid cooling. According to the manufacturer, there are 30,8 hp of power at 9,000 rpm and torque of 2,6 kgf.m at 7,000 rpm, always accompanied by a six-speed gearbox.
In the chassis, the new Shineray trail features inverted front suspension (USD) and rear monoshock, a configuration that favors greater stability and control on different types of terrain. The wheels follow the standard of the category, with a 19-inch rim at the front and 17 at the rear, shod with mixed-use tires.
The braking system has discs on both wheels and dual-channel ABS, reinforcing safety. The bike also offers full LED lighting, LCD digital panel and USB sockets (types A and C), expanding the proposal for urban use and versatility in everyday life.
With a curb weight of 143 kg (or 128 kg dry, depending on the brand) and a 13-liter tank, the SBM 250T also stands out for its autonomy and practicality. The seat height is 850 mm and the ground clearance reaches up to 290 mm, favoring off-road use.
Visually, the model bets on modern and robust lines, focusing on the young audience and users looking for a functional motorcycle, whether for daily commuting or work.
The new Shineray competes directly with traditional models such as Honda XRE 300 Sahara (R$ 30.990) and Yamaha XTZ 250 Lander (R$ 29.290), and stands out for being a more affordable third way – a point always prioritized by the manufacturer.
