Bajaj has updated the Dominar 400, its best-selling motorcycle in Brazil, with an electronic package that takes the model from a half-complete category to a real complete one. The model now has the package that until now was exclusive to the NS 400Z — the same movement with which the brand has been consolidating the Family — with ride-by-wire electronic throttle, four riding modes, traction control, color digital panel and Bluetooth connectivity. The suggested price is R$ 27.490 — an adjustment of R$ 500 compared to the previous model.
The first units arrived at dealerships in mid-September, in five colors: blue, white, black, green and red.

The most visible change is in the cockpit. The Dominar 400 abandons the old configuration of two dials — the main panel plus a display over the tank — and starts to concentrate all information on a single color LCD screen, with cleaner reading.
The new dashboard features Bluetooth connectivity through the Bajaj Ride Connect app, which projects turn-by-turn navigation (simpler navigation than full GPS), call and message alerts, as well as battery level and cell phone signal.
Four riding modes come standard
The adoption of the ride-by-wire electronic throttle allowed it to include four riding modes: Road, Rain, Off Road and Sport. Each one changes the acceleration map and power delivery according to use — Rain softens the response on low-grip surfaces, Sport makes the throttle more direct, Off Road was designed for dirt and Road covers conventional use.
The package is completed with traction control, which monitors rear wheel grip and works with dual-channel ABS to reduce skidding when accelerating on slippery surfaces. It is the same electronic set debuted by the NS 400Z, the sportiest naked launched in Brazil in October 2025.

Despite the changes in electronics, the mechanics are the same. The Dominar 400 maintains the 373.3 cm³, four-valve, liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC with electronic injection, which delivers 40 hp at 8.800 rpm and 3.56 kgf.m of torque at 6.500 rpm. The gearbox has six gears, with an assist and slipper clutch.
The chassis is also the same: 43 mm inverted front fork and Nitrox rear monoshock.
The bike weighs 192 kg in running order, has a 13-liter tank and a wheelbase of 1,453 mm.
Complete
travel package The Dominar 400 preserves the list of items for road use: windshield, hand, engine and sump guards, split seat, luggage rack with trunk support, pillion backrest, USB socket over the tank, alloy wheels and full-LED lighting with automatic lighting.
The adhesion of the new equipment brought the possibility of better circulation with GPS, despite not having the complete map, better stability with traction control and the possibility of pre-defining the model according to the track or type of riding.
To be complete, the Dominar 400 would only lack cruise control to reinforce the appeal of an affordable option for those who want to hit the road and a complete GPS.
