Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the interior of the new, all-electric C-Class, which has bet heavily on the evolution of the MBUX Hyperscreen multimedia system. The sedan, which will be officially unveiled on April 20, uses a curved glass structure that extends almost 1.4 meters (56 inches), unifying three distinct displays into a single visual interface that covers the entire dashboard, from driver to passenger.

Technically, the set consists of a 12.3″ instrument screen for the driver, a 17.7″ central display and a dedicated 12.3″ passenger screen. While the instrument panel uses LCD technology, the central and side screens adopt OLED panels, which ensure deep blacks and high contrast under any light condition. The system is operated by a high-performance computer with eight processing cores and 24 GB of RAM, allowing a “layer zero” interface, where the main functions are always visible without the need to navigate through submenus.

To mitigate the absence of physical buttons, Mercedes-Benz has integrated 12 actuators under the surface of the glass to provide haptic feedback. This means that when touching the screen, the user feels a mechanical vibration that confirms the command. The project also includes a heat pump to manage the temperature of the cabin and batteries efficiently, optimizing the autonomy that, although not confirmed, must be high.

Comfort is enhanced by the panoramic roof and the use of state-of-the-art soundproofing. With the new electric C-Class, the German brand tries to balance traditional luxury with aggressive digitalization, aiming to face direct competition from Neue Klasse’s BMW 3 Series.
