Seven-seater SUV marks its return to Kia's catalog in Brazil with turbodiesel engine, all-wheel drive and cabin focused on digitalization
Kia has made official the return of the Kia Sorento to the Brazilian market with an aggressive pricing strategy. The seven-seater SUV, now in its fourth generation, arrives at dealerships with a promotional launch value of R$ 359.990. The model seeks to regain space in the premium SUV segment, betting on turbodiesel engines and all-wheel drive as competitive differentials against European and Asian rivals.
Under the hood, the new Sorento features the 2.2 Smartstream four-cylinder engine, which delivers 194 hp and 45,9 kgfm. Power is distributed by an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for the AWD traction system on demand. The driver can choose from four driving modes (Normal, Eco, Sport and Smart), as well as specific settings for terrain such as snow, mud and sand, which automatically adjust the gearbox and steering parameters.

In the field of design, the model embodies the “Opposites United” philosophy: the front features vertical LED headlights with the Star Map light signature and the traditional three-dimensional darkened grille. At the rear, the vertical taillights and the integrated spoiler give a robust look to the vehicle, which measures 4.81 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2.81 m, ensuring generous space for the occupants of the three rows of seats.

The interior has been redesigned to prioritize digitalization and comfort. The front console houses two 12.3″ curved screens that integrate the instrument panel and the multimedia center. In terms of versatility, the trunk offers 179 liters with all seats in use, jumping to 608 liters with the third row folded down. Safety is enhanced by six airbags, 360° view cameras and a full package of electronic stability and traction assistants.
