Chevrolet has put on sale in Argentina the S10 Trail Boss, a more robust and off-road-focused version of the medium pickup, with deliveries starting in August. The detail that interests Brazil is the fact that the pickup is produced in São José dos Campos (SP) and has already been shown here at Agrishow, in April, as part of the future 2027 line. In other words: the neighbors came out ahead, but the novelty should reach Brazilian stores soon.
The Trail Boss starts from the Z71 version and gets an extra package. The main change is in the Ironman suspension, imported from Australia, with recalibrated springs and shock absorbers that raise the front end by 3 cm. Completing the set are Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain tires with an 18″ rim, glossy black grille and rear bumper, flared fenders, exclusively designed wheels, stickers on the hood and bucket lid and darkened interior finishes. According to Chevrolet, the calibration was done with GM’s own performance division.
The mechanics do not change: the 2.8 turbodiesel Duramax engine delivers 207 hp and 52 kgfm, with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction with reduced. The equipment list is at the level of the LTZ and Z71 versions, with six airbags, stability and traction controls, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, lane keeping, blind spot alert and rear cross traffic.
With no official Brazilian price, AutoPapo estimates the price of the new Chevrolet S10 Trail Boss at around R$ 320 thousand here.
