The Chinese automaker JMEV started its operations in the Brazilian market with a niche strategy: the electrification of driving school fleets. The brand, linked to Jiangling Motors — Ford’s global partner — introduces the compact EV2 and EV3 models under the representation of E-Motors, with prices starting at R$ 69,990 in the direct sales modality.

The JMEV EV2 acts as the entry option. The compact four-seater hatch is equipped with a 17 kWh battery, capable of delivering an average range of 200 km. At just 3.50 meters long, the model focuses on urban agility and ease of maneuvering, being smaller than the Fiat Mobi. Charging is carried out at conventional 220V outlets, requiring about eight hours for a full charge.

For the higher value-added segment, the brand offers the EV3 for R$ 99.990. The model features a 30 kWh battery, a range of 330 km and a motor that delivers 48 hp and 15,3 kgfm. The technical differential for teaching drivers is the option of a simulated manual transmission, developed specifically for Brazil, which mimics the behavior of combustion vehicles, allowing students to learn how to change gears in a purely electric system.

Compliance with driving school legislation is guaranteed by factory adaptations, such as dual pedal control and auxiliary mirrors. Following the standards for instruction vehicles, the basic versions have only one airbag, while the units intended for the end consumer follow the mandatory safety standard. The interior of the EV3 includes a 7-inch multimedia center and digital air conditioning.

The national operation foresees the expansion from Pedro Leopoldo (MG) and the future assembly of the vehicles in Jaguaré (ES). The SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) project will use kits imported from China. For after-sales, E-Motors ensures a stock of components and offers a three-year warranty for the vehicle and eight years for the battery pack.
