With long-range electric and hybrid versions, the utility vehicle developed in partnership with Dongfeng bets on record recharging and a range of 1,450 km
Nissan has made official in China the launch of the NX8, a large SUV that hits the market with electric and hybrid propulsion with range extender (REEV). Although the manufacturer has not yet confirmed the launch schedule in Brazil, the utility has already been spotted in road tests in São Paulo, indicating that the brand evaluates the viability of the model to occupy the top of its national line.
The NX8 is the result of the strategic partnership between Nissan and China’s Dongfeng. With a length of 4.87 meters and a wheelbase of 2.91 m, the model exceeds the dimensions of the Toyota SW4, positioning itself as a robust option for the family segment. The construction uses the Tianyan 2.0 platform, equipped with 800 V architecture, central pillar to ensure energy efficiency and ultra-fast recharges.

In the purely electric configuration, the front motor delivers 339 hp and 45,9 kgfm, powered by an 81 kWh battery that projects a range of up to 650 km in the Chinese cycle. The highlight lies in the recharge capacity of 463 kW, allowing the battery level to be raised from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes. The hybrid variant uses a 1.5 turbo engine as a generator, bringing the total range to 1,450 km.

The technological package is embodied by 29 sensors and a LiDAR system, offering state-of-the-art driving assistance. Internally, the NX8 bets on digital minimalism with two 15.6″ screens and refined finish. In China, prices vary between R$ 119 thousand and R$ 156 thousand in direct conversion, values that would make it highly competitive in the Brazilian scenario against electrified rivals.
