Launched in 2016 as a bet on urban mobility, the subcompact hatch maintains its momentum and is among the best-selling cars in Brazil
The Fiat Mobi completed ten years of history in the Brazilian market, consolidated as one of the rare survivors of the entry-level segment. Manufactured at the Betim Automotive Complex (MG), the subcompact hatch has reached the mark of 700 thousand units produced since its launch in April 2016. In the domestic market, the sales volume already exceeds 600 thousand copies.
Launched with the premise of offering an agile solution for large urban centers, the model stood out for its cost-effective proposal and reduced dimensions. In a decade, Fiat has promoted strategic updates to maintain the project’s competitiveness. In 2017, the compact debuted the GSR automated transmission, being the pioneer in the brand to unite a 1.0 engine to this system. In 2019, the line gained momentum with the Way Extreme series and versions with adventurous appeal.

For the 2026 line, the Mobi received an internal refinement, with a new dashboard, redesigned steering wheel and improvements in cabin ergonomics. Under the hood, the evolution to the 1.0 Firefly engine ensured better consumption and efficiency figures. The set delivers up to 75 hp and 10,7 kgfm, which allowed the hatch to sell 73,013 units in 2025, remaining on the podium of the most sold vehicles in the country.
In addition to domestic success, the model has become a key part of Stellantis’ export strategy in the region. The Mobi is currently shipped to 12 other countries in Latin America, including key markets such as Mexico and Argentina. The longevity of the project reinforces the brand’s bet on an increasingly scarce segment, where low maintenance costs continue to be the main purchase argument against the competition.
