Changan has expanded its electrified portfolio in China with the launch of the CS75 Plus SUV and the fourth generation of the Eado sedan, both equipped with the BlueCore HEV hybrid system. The models arrive as a strategic bet to regain space in the Asian market, combining aggressive prices with a technological package focused on artificial intelligence and high thermal efficiency.

It is news that is of direct interest to Brazilians, as CS75 has been tested in the country for some time. The units that run camouflaged here are previews of today’s news, but may, of course, be part of Caoa Changan’s catalog in the future.

Under promotional conditions, the sedan starts at 79,900 yuan (about R$ 60,000). The SUV has a starting price of 109,900 yuan (R$ 82,500). The two vehicles share the same lithium-ion battery architecture with a capacity of 1.7 kWh.

The difference in performance between the models stems from the calibration and the mechanical combustion assembly. The Eado HEV is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine coupled to a 217 hp electric engine, in a combination that results in a declared urban consumption of only 33.6 km/l. The CS75 Plus, with a more robust size, features a 1.5-liter turbo engine associated with a 245 hp electric motor (245 hp.

Both vehicles use the hybrid system with 500 bar direct injection. Energy management is parameterized by artificial intelligence, in engineering that guarantees the mechanical system a peak thermal efficiency of 44.28%.

Immersive booth and integration with DeepSeek

Inside, the manufacturer has prioritized digitalization: the CS75 Plus offers a panel with three dials — highlighting a 12″ screen, exclusive to the passenger — while the Eado adopts a dual configuration. The TianShu OS operating system is factory standard and features voice commands processed by DeepSeek’s technology, in addition to acting in parallel with driving assistance features, such as autopilot on highways and autonomous parking.

The offensive on conventional hybrids comes at a delicate commercial moment for the company in China. In April 2026, Changan experienced a 51% year-on-year drop in domestic sales, limiting its market share to a mere 2.2%. With the expansion of the line, the automaker seeks to win back the consumer by combining energy efficiency and sophistication.
