The AUDI sub-brand — with capital letters, created by the partnership between Germany’s Audi and China’s SAIC — has started sales of its E7X electric SUV in China, with a starting price of 269,800 yuan (about R$ 194,200). The value was 20 thousand yuan below that announced in the pre-sale and targets the Xiaomi YU7, one of the most desired electric vehicles in the country.

Written in full and without the four rings in the logo, AUDI bets on young digital buyers, with products developed specifically for the taste of the Chinese consumer. The E7X is its second model, after the E5 Sportback, launched last year.

Imposing dimensions and technological cabin

The E7X is a large five-seater crossover, with a coupe-trimmed roof and 22″ wheels with Brembo brakes. It measures 5.05 m —6.3 cm more than the Audi Q8— with a wheelbase of 3.06 m and 682 liters of trunk.

At the front, the light signature brings together 1,446 LEDs in eight greeting modes, and the digital headlights project alerts on the road. Inside, the cabin is a digital ecosystem: 27″ screen, 12.3″ instruments, massage seats, refrigerator, 26-speaker Bose sound and 21.4″ roof screen for passengers.

900V architecture, power and assisted driving

On 900V electric architecture and air suspension with 80 mm adjustment, the E7X uses CATL batteries in two configurations. In the RWD version (rear version) there is 402 hp and 51,0 kgfm, with a battery of up to 109 kWh that provides 751 km of range in the Chinese cycle. The Quattro version (all-wheel drive) stands out for its two engines and 670 hp combined, from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

Assisted driving runs on the Nvidia Orin X chip, with LiDAR, radars and cameras that perform return maneuvers at three points and dodge small animals in blind spots on their own.
