The popular ones with a 1.0 engine already have this item as standard, but some Chinese hatches and SUVs are coming without the equipment
It was almost a rule in Brazil for popular hatches to come without wiper on the rear window, with the item being part of some package of options. But nowadays, that is over: the cheapest models in the country have this equipment as standard. However, some Chinese cars, even the most expensive ones, are coming without.
Models such as the Geely EX2, BYD Dolphin Mini, Leapmotor B10, Caoa Changan Uni-T and GWM Ora 03 have enviable technology packages, but do not have a simple rear wiper. This is another characteristic of Chinese projects that are at odds with what is already practiced in our market.

It is good to remember that we are talking about cars with hatchback or SUV bodywork. Models with a more inclined porthole, such as sedans and coupes, do not need the wiper, as the shape of the body helps not to accumulate dirt in the place.
Models with a truncated rear have an aerodynamic turbulence that makes dirt accumulate on the glass. This is more serious when they travel on dirty or dusty roads when it is raining.
In order not to have to clean the rear window frequently, the solution in these cars is to apply a water repellent to the glass. This way, visibility will be better and it will also be easier to clean the glass later.
Water repellents can also be used on the windshield, portholes with wipers and rearview mirrors. They also help with the cleaner’s work.
Contran resolution 912 provides for all items that are mandatory in cars. They must not only come from the factory, but they must be operational so that they can run on public roads.
The list only includes the windshield wiper; the rear is not mandatory. Having a car without the item is not illegal, it is just inconvenient. But if it is installed, it must be working so that there is no traffic violation.
