In the last three years, several Chinese brands have been arriving in Brazil with aggressive prices and good sales. This is forcing a reduction in the prices of cars that were already on the market to keep sales high.
The most recent cut was the one promoted by Nissan in the new generation Kicks, which received reductions of up to R$ 10 thousand. The range between R$ 120 thousand and R$ 200 thousand was the most affected by Chinese brands, which are already offering electric and hybrid models for these figures.
Some brands, such as those of the Stellantis group and Volkswagen, were resistant to reducing prices in the list. They prefer to use promotional values at dealerships, with discounts of almost R$ 30 thousand.
We list below which cars received a reduction in the price list. We do not have discounts at dealerships, as this may be conditioned by the type of sale, the delivery of a used one in exchange and other factors.
1. Nissan

The new generation of the Nissan Kicks debuted with prices that reached R$ 200 thousand, which made it the most expensive 1.0 turbo car in our market. With the arrival of the 2027 line, the Japanese brand promoted a reduction in values.
Now the versions go up in increments of R$ 10 thousand, with the top-of-the-line Platinum reduced to R$ 189.990. The content has not been changed. See the updated table:

2. Jeep

Jeep was one of the brands most affected by the Chinese: both the Renegade and the Compass have lost sales in recent years. In 2026, they received a reduction in prices to remain competitive, despite having been in the market for more than 10 years.
The Renegade lost the entry-level Sport version to make room for the new Avenger. The Altitude model was launched for R$ 149.990 in the 2027 line, but had the promotional price of R$ 129.990 adopted as the list price in the following months.
The Compass Sport is sold for R$ 147.990, to respond to Chinese medium SUVs that are in this price range. From the national line, only the Commander did not receive reductions in the table; It only has discounts at dealerships.
3. Suzuki

As the Suzuki Jimny could not meet the new emission standards in Brazil, HPE Automotores started to import the electric SUV and Vitara to maintain the brand in the country. The launch price was R$ 269.990, but in a short time they reduced it to R$ 219.990.
4. Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi reduced prices across its lineup, with discounts that reached R$ 55 thousand. The Eclipse Cross, for example, dropped from R$ 176.990 to R$ 159.990 in the entry-level version.
The most benefited model was the Outlander PHEV, which fell from R$ 379.990 to R$ 324.990 in the HPE-S version. This made it more competitive compared to Chinese models. The Triton now starts at R$ 249.990.
5. Chevrolet

Chevrolet chose to bring a Chinese compact electric SUV to fight directly against the BYD Dolphin and other Chinese hatches. But the tie brand salted the price: it even asked more than R$ 170 thousand for the model.
Today, the Spark EUV is priced at R$ 144.990, the most competitive value in the current scenario. It is already assembled in the SKD regime at the Pace factory in Ceará, which helps to reduce prices.
6. Volkswagen

The 2027 Volkswagen Taos line arrived with a restyling and the addition of some equipment. The price list was reduced by R$ 20 thousand, with the model now starting at R$ 199.990.
7. Kia

The Kia Sorento was once again sold in Brazil with a diesel engine and a proposal similar to that of the Jeep Commander. Just 6 months after launch, its price was reduced by R$ 55 thousand, going to R$ 344.990.
