Flex-fuel cars are always more economical when fueled with gasoline, but ethanol may be more worthwhile because of the lower price. Now with the officialization of E32, vegetable fuel may become more advantageous.

The higher ethanol content mixed with gasoline has the effect of increasing consumption. Unfortunately, the methodology standardized by Inmetro to disclose the averages still uses E22 gasoline, which makes it difficult to measure this.

For ethanol, the results are more accurate, as the fuel used in the tests is similar to that found at the gas stations. See which are the most efficient when fueled with it. We set up the ranking with urban consumption as a reference

1. Toyota Yaris Cross HEV

  • City: 11.6 km/l
  • Road: 9.2 km/l
