The 10 most economical cars in Brazil with ethanol in 2026
Vegetable fuel helps to give cars more performance and costs cheaper, but it charges this in high fuel consumption
Published on 2026-07-17 at 06:00 AM
Flex-fuel cars are always more economical when fueled with gasoline, but ethanol may be more worthwhile because of the lower price. Now with the officialization of E32, vegetable fuel may become more advantageous.
The higher ethanol content mixed with gasoline has the effect of increasing consumption. Unfortunately, the methodology standardized by Inmetro to disclose the averages still uses E22 gasoline, which makes it difficult to measure this.
