The Fiat Argo X will be just the beginning of a new phase of the Italian brand in Brazil. It will give rise to four other new models made on the CMP modular platform, all produced in Betim (MG).

The updates to the Minas Gerais plant are the result of an investment of R$ 14 billion. The adoption of CMP will allow for greater sharing of parts and modernize Fiat’s range in Brazil. It is already used by Citroën, Peugeot and Jeep Avenger cars.

Returning to the Argo X, the model will be positioned as a compact hatchback — despite having a free span that classifies it as an SUV by Inmetro. See below which cars will be derived from it and when they hit the market.

Fiat Pulse (F2U)

The Fiat Pulse is now an entry-level SUV, but its next generation will be promoted to compact SUV. After the brand confirmed that it kept the Argo name after identifying that the public does not like constant changes, it seems more certain that the new model will be baptized as Pulse.

It will be the car that was presented in Europe as Grizzly, an SUV that measures about 4.32 m in length and 2.67 m in wheelbase. It will have the size of Citroën Aircross and Renault Duster, which means it will have good interior space and a large trunk.

The new Fiat Pulse is internally called the F2U project and already has test mules running around Brazil, scheduled for launch in 2027. The Autos Segredos portal found that it will only come with a 1.0 turbo T200 MHEV engine of 116 hp and will have a seven-seat option.

Fiat Fastback (F2X)

In the wake of the new Pulse will come the Fastback, which was also presented in Europe. In the Old Continent it is called Grizzly Fastback, while here it will keep the name we already know.

The new Fiat Fastback will have measurements similar to those of the Pulse, with the difference being in the trim of the rear. This growth will solve the main criticism of the current model, which is the interior space, without losing the large trunk.

Both the Pulse and the Fastback will have a rotary selector for the gearbox, which gives a more sophisticated look to the cabin. They will have a more complete ADAS package than the current one and curtain airbags.

Fiat Strada (XBP)

The Fiat Strada is the best-selling car in Brazil and the brand treats the new generation with affection. The pickup will grow, becoming derived from compact SUVs, as well as the Chevrolet Montana and the Volkswagen Tukan.

According to the Autos Segredos portal, the new Strada will be sold along with the current model for a few years. The engine will be the 1.0 turbo with a 12-volt mild hybrid system or the aspirated 1.3.

The new Strada will continue with single or double cab options. The model is expected to debut in 2028; by then, rival Volkswagen Tukan will already be on the market and may give work.

Fiat Mobi (F1X)

Yes, even with its sales practically dedicated to company fleets, the Fiat Mobi will have a new generation derived from the Argo X. It should be the last of this batch to hit the market.

The new generation of the Fiat Mobi will have a European brother, which will be the replacement for the third-generation Panda. There, his name should be Pandina, to differentiate himself from the Great Panda.

The new generation Fiat Mobi will use the CMP platform and will have SUV elements, just like the Renault Kwid. It may come electrified, as the Pandina is tipped to have electric versions.
