The ranking of the best-selling cars in Portugal is always dominated by compact cars. In 2025 the Renault Clio took the first position that was the Dacia Sandero in 2024, thanks to the new generation.
Portugal’s automotive industry is quite small today and the country has no local car brands, only buses and motorcycles. Volkswagen owns a factory, which makes only the T-Roc, while Stellantis makes vans in a unit that was built in the 60s by Citroën.

We couldn’t find any recent vehicle sales data in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The closest we got was that Toyota is the most popular brand in the country.

The Chevrolet Kadett we had in Brazil was produced for three decades in Uzbekistan, under the name Daewoo Nexia and then received the Chevrolet emblems. Its successor was the Cobalt designed in Brazil, which was launched in 2013 and is still in line.
The Cobalt made in Uzbekistan predates the face-lift we had. The engine used is a 1.5 from Daewoo, which in turn is derived from our well-known I Family

Colombia has a love story with Renault and has been producing cars of the French brand since 1970. The best-selling model in the country today is the Duster, made in Envigado.
Renault’s Colombian plant exports the Duster with all-wheel drive to other Latin American countries, such as Argentina, as Brazil only makes the model with 4×2 traction.
