5 reasons that make the Jeep Avenger better than its brothers

The Jeep Avenger was Stellantis’ big launch for the SUV market in 2026. The entry-level model comes to make the group’s range even fuller, occupying a price range where we can find Fiat Pulse, Fiat Fastback, Citroën Basalt, Peugeot 2008 and the Jeep Renegade.

1. Safety

The Jeep Avenger has six airbags and ADAS capabilities throughout its range. The Altitude version, priced at R$ 119.990, already comes with autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assistant, license plate reader and automatic high beams.

The top-of-the-line Limited model, from R$ 145.990, adds level 2 adaptive cruise control, lane centering and full LED matrix headlights. It’s a fuller package than the bigger brother Renegade, which has the same features as the top versions of the Fiat Fastback and Pulse — autonomous emergency braking with car-only detection, lane keeping assistant and automatic high beams.

The Peugeot 2008 also has an ADAS package similar to that of the Jeep Renegade, which is only available in the top-of-the-line GT, as well as the six airbags. The Citroën Basalt, on the other hand, does not have active safety assistants or curtain airbags. For those who prioritize safety, the new Avenger is the most complete.

2. Finishing

The Jeep Avenger surprised by coming with a more neat finish than its bigger brother Renegade. The new entry-level SUV has soft-touch material on the front doors and vinyl upholstery in the central part of the dashboard.

The Renegade has already had soft-touch on the doors and dashboard, but lost the first in the face-lift of the 2022 line and the second was filed in the update of the 2027 line. Fiat models received a larger portion of fabric on the doors in the 2026 line and also have a vinyl on the dashboard, but the surfaces are made of hard plastic.

The Basalt, on the other hand, received a vinyl on the dashboard to reduce the simplicity of the interior. Interestingly, the Peugeot 2008, which is more expensive, continues with only hard plastic everywhere.

3. Compact size

We know that Brazilians buy cars by the meter and that the space in the rear seat of the Jeep Avenger is small. But there are consumers who prefer smaller cars because they are easier to maneuver, are agile in the city or even because of physical limitation in the size of the garage.

The 4.08 m long and 1.77 m wide Jeep Avenger can please those who have this predilection for smaller models. Not to mention that it is increasingly difficult to find a well-equipped compact car.

4. MHEV across the range

This is another item that can be controversial to list as a benefit. Stellantis’ 12-volt mild hybrid system is the simplest form of electrification and brings few visible gains in consumption or performance.

The most advantageous side of it is to bring exemption or discount on IPVA in some states and to be exempt from car rotation in the city of São Paulo (SP). Mechanically, the Avenger’s MHEV system does not require additional maintenance, the only cost is the EFB type lead battery.

5. Jeep brand ballast

In Brazil, Jeep is positioned as an aspirational brand. It built its fame when it came in the 1990s with the luxurious Grand Cherokee, which was the choice of many celebrities.

The Avenger is Jeep’s gateway, a role that was once the Renegade’s. As it is new, it will stand out even more on Brazilian streets, especially in the green paint of the launch.
