Royal Enfield has confirmed the arrival in Brazil of the Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts, a limited edition developed in partnership with Taiwanese customizer Rough Crafts. The model will have pre-booking open between July 27 and 30, but draws attention to a detail that goes beyond exclusivity: the price of R$ 60.990.

The value represents an increase of R$ 25.500 compared to the conventional Shotgun 650 in the top-of-the-line version, sold in Brazil for around R$ 35.490. In practice, this means an increase of almost 71.85%, although the motorcycle maintains exactly the same mechanical set as the standard version.

In all, only 100 numbered units will be produced for the whole world. Of these, only 25 will be destined for the Americas, divided between Brazil, the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina. Distribution will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to the first buyers who complete the process.

What changes?

For those who expected a more powerful or equipped version, the answer is simple: nothing changes from a technical point of view.

The Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts maintains the well-known 648 cm³ parallel twin-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 47 hp of power and 5,3 kgfm of torque, associated with a six-speed gearbox. Chassis, suspensions, brakes and chassis remain exactly the same as the conventional Shotgun 650.

The differences are concentrated in the look and finish.

The special edition receives exclusive paint combining gloss black and matte black, with gold leaf details inspired by the Caliber Royale concept motorcycle, created by Rough Crafts. There is also a brass emblem of the partnership, padded leather seat, rearview mirrors at the ends of the handlebars, alloy wheels with diamond finish and gold tubes on the front suspension.

Each unit also has an exclusive numbering engraved on the tank, reinforcing the limited edition character.

In addition to the motorcycle, buyers will receive a numbered illustration signed by Winston Yeh, founder of Rough Crafts and responsible for the original project that inspired this special series.

Who is Rough Crafts?

Rough Crafts is one of the most respected motorcycle customizers in the world. Founded in Taiwan by Winston Yeh, the company became famous for transforming models from brands such as Harley-Davidson, BMW, Ducati, Indian and Royal Enfield itself into exclusive projects, usually marked by minimalist lines, refined finish and strong visual identity.

The motorcycle that gave rise to this limited edition was the Caliber Royale, initially presented as a concept at EICMA 2025 and later exhibited at Motoverse 2025. The model drew attention for profound changes in the bodywork, proportions and even structural elements.

The commercial version, on the other hand, preserves practically the entire structure of the original Shotgun 650, incorporating only the visual identity inspired by that project.

Exclusivity is expensive

The strategy adopted by Royal Enfield follows a path already known in the collector’s vehicle market: charging for rarity, not performance.

In this respect, the Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts makes sense. After all, there are only 100 copies produced globally, all numbered and linked to one of the most prestigious customizers in the segment and there is even gold in the units.

On the other hand, for those who intend to use the motorcycle on a daily basis, financial justification becomes more difficult.

The buyer disbursed more than R$ 25 thousand extra without receiving any improvement in performance, technology, safety or chassis. The entire price difference is concentrated in exclusivity, special finishes and potential collection value.

How to buy the new Royal Enfield Shotgun

The acquisition process will take place in two stages.

  • Registration to participate in the pre-booking is open between July 15 and 28, at 9 am (Brasília time), through the Royal Enfield hotsite.
  • Pre-booking for registered customers begins on July 28, at 11 am (Brasília time).

As the units are extremely limited, the expectation is that they will sell out quickly.

Despite the much higher price of the limited edition x Rough Crafts, the mechanical base is exactly the same as the conventional Shotgun 650. The motorcycle is equipped with a 648 cm³ parallel twin-cylinder engine, cooled by air and oil, which delivers 47 hp of power at 7,250 rpm and 5,3 kgfm of torque at 5,650 rpm, always associated with a six-speed gearbox and oil-bathed multi-plate clutch.

The chassis also remains unchanged, with a tubular steel chassis, inverted-fork Showa front suspension with 120 mm of travel and two Showa rear shocks with preload adjustment. The brakes are disc brakes on both wheels, 320 mm at the front and 300 mm at the rear, both with two-channel ABS.

Among the highlights of the set are the mixed panel (analog and digital), Tripper navigator with smartphone connectivity, full LED lighting and USB-A socket. The Shotgun 650 still weighs 240 kg in running order, has a 13.8-liter tank, declared average consumption of 22 km/l and an estimated range of 303 km. These numbers are exactly the same as the special edition, reinforcing that the price difference is concentrated exclusively in the finish and exclusivity of the model.
