Honda has announced the arrival of the GL1800 Gold Wing Tour 50th Anniversary to the Brazilian market. The special edition celebrates 50 years of the Japanese manufacturer’s traditional touring line with exclusive finishing details, connectivity improvements and electronic updates.
The model arrives at Honda Dream dealerships in August with a suggested price of R$ 304.450.
The commemorative series features emblems alluding to the 50th anniversary of the Gold Wing, “Since 1975” inscriptions scattered around the motorcycle, a personalized face-to-face key, and an exclusive animation at the TFT panel startup. The paint is also exclusive, in the color Bordeaux Red Metallic.
Among the novelties for the 2027 line are wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a revised audio system with new speakers, improved Bluetooth connectivity between driver and pillion and updates to the ECU, in addition to the adoption of a new sensor to meet the requirements of the Promot 5 phase.
Luxury on two wheels
The Gold Wing remains Honda’s most sophisticated motorcycle. The engine remains the well-known 1,833 cm³ six-cylinder boxer, capable of delivering 126,5 hp at 5,500 rpm and 17,3 kgfm of torque at 4,500 rpm, always associated with the seven-speed dual-clutch automated transmission (DCT).
The set also has four riding modes (Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain), HSTC traction control, ramp start assistant (HSA), electronic throttle, Idling Stop system and maneuver mode (“Walking Mode”), which allows you to move the motorcycle forward or backward at very low speed.
Technology and comfort
Touring maintains an extensive list of equipment. The seven-inch TFT panel brings together motorcycle information, navigation and multimedia. There is also an electrically adjustable windshield, full LED lighting, Smart Key, cruise control, electronic suspension, electric rear preload adjustment, two USB-C ports and a total capacity of 121 liters of luggage, distributed between side bags and rear trunk.
In the chassis, the Gold Wing uses an aluminum chassis with double wishbone front suspension, Pro-Arm rear suspension and D-CBS combined brakes with ABS. The set weighs 373 kg in running order.
Honda offers a three-year warranty, with no mileage limit, in addition to the Honda Assistance program for the entire coverage period. Revisions should be carried out every 6,000 km or six months after the first revision, scheduled for 1,000 km.
