BMW M and BMW Motorrad Partnership in South Africa Creates Exclusive Motorcycle and Car Versions with Aligned Visual Identity and Limited Production
BMW presented a special series that brings together the two- and four-wheeled universes, combining elements from the BMW M 1000 RR to the BMW M2 Coupé. The initiative that focused on visual elements resulted in unprecedented versions inspired by the BMW M2 Coupé and marked the first direct collaboration between the divisions in the African country.

The main highlight is the BMW M 1000 RR M2 Edition, unveiled alongside the BMW M2 Coupé RR Edition. The proposal bets on strong customization, aligned visual identity and very restricted production.

Based on the BMW M 1000 RR, the special version is finished in Metallic Storm Black with red accents on the M carbon wheels, tank and fairings. The front aerodynamic fins feature the acronym RR prominently, reinforcing the sporty appeal.
The lineup also includes the BMW S 1000 RR M2 Edition, derived from the BMW S 1000 RR. The model follows the same visual proposal, with dark paint, red elements, smoked windshield, seat with M emblem and wheels with a different finish.

Despite the visual changes, there are no mechanical changes to the motorcycles. The strategy maintains the already consolidated technical set, adding only aesthetic differentials. Both have an Akrapovič exhaust system, expanding the sporty appeal.
The package is completed by the BMW M2 Coupé RR Edition, equipped with a 480 hp in-line six-cylinder engine and M TwinPower Turbo technology. The model receives Sapphire Black paint, lowered suspension, M Performance wheels and exclusive aerodynamic elements.

Inside, the sports car follows the pattern of the M line, with black seats, red details and contrasting stitching. The standard sunroof is also part of the special edition configuration.
Only 10 units of the coupe are planned, while motorcycles will also have restricted volumes. In South Africa, the BMW S 1000 RR M2 Edition starts at 406,950 rand (about R$ 120 thousand), while the BMW M 1000 RR M2 Edition reaches 882,100 rand (approximately R$ 261 thousand). The coupe is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026, with prices not yet disclosed.
