In July, Bajaj broke the monthly record in its history in Brazil. The Indian manufacturer sold 3,371 motorcycles, up 40% from 2,406 in July 2025 and higher than the 3,350 units recorded in March, its best month so far. The data are from Fenabrave.
The result kept the brand in fifth position in the Brazilian motorcycle market, a level it has occupied since April. The distance to the front pack, however, is still wide: in July, Shineray sold 11,476 motorcycles and Mottu, 11,397 — more than three times the volume of Bajaj, which accounts for about 1.7% of the market.
From January to July, the manufacturer licensed 21,366 units — an increase of 52% over the 14,035 in the same period of 2025 — a pace well above the market, which grew 12.4% and reached 1.37 million motorcycles in the interval. Since its commercial debut in the country, in December 2022, Bajaj has 65,301 registrations.
Manaus sets the pace
The escalation is based on the Manaus (AM) plant, inaugurated in June 2024 and Bajaj’s first outside India. The unit operates under the CKD regime, in which the components arrive disassembled for local assembly, and went from 20 thousand to 48 thousand motorcycles per year after an investment of US$ 10 million in 2025. There are more than 250 workers between permanent and outsourced workers.
In parallel, the dealership network reached 76 addresses — there were 70 in April. And, since June, the Brazilian subsidiary has also been responsible for KTM’s commercial operations in the country. “July was the best month in Bajaj’s history in Brazil and reinforces the strength of our portfolio and the confidence of the Brazilian consumer,” said Waldyr Ferreira, Managing Director of Bajaj do Brasil.
Pulse pulls, Master sustains
The Pulsar N150 was the brand’s best-selling model in July, with 985 registrations. Launched in 2025, the street also leads the portfolio in the year, with 5,233 units.
The volume, however, remains concentrated in the 400 family, formed by the Dominar 400 and the Dominar NS400Z: there were 1,345 motorcycles in July and 8,475 from January to July, an increase of 34%. Completing the line are the Dominar NS160, with 3,103 units in the year and growth of 19%, the Dominar NS200, with 2,554 and an increase of 4%, and the Dominar 250, with 2,001.
The performance comes in a heated year for the sector. According to the president of Fenabrave, Arcelio Junior, the recently launched federal financing program already appears in the numbers of motorcycles. The entity also points out the weight of the consortiums, responsible, on average, for 28% of motorcycle sales in the country.
