Aston Martin motorcycle gets street version with 1.0 engine and titanium frame

The partnership between Aston Martin and Brough Superior has finally reached the asphalt. That’s because the AMB 002 Roadster was presented, the first motorcycle signed by the two brands homologated for use on public roads (the predecessors AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro were intended exclusively for the track). Production will be limited to 300 units worldwide, with the first deliveries scheduled for the end of 2027 and price not yet disclosed.

According to Brough Superior, the AMB 002 is not a tame version of the AMB 001, but a project developed from scratch. The manufacturer maintains, however, the repertoire of materials that made the duo famous: carbon fiber fairings and fuel tank, double swingarm front suspension and frame machined from a single block of titanium, a rare solution even among competition motorcycles.

Titanium, carbon fiber and 130 hp

The model is equipped with a 1,083 cm³ V-twin engine with 130 hp and 11,2 kgfm, numbers reported by the manufacturer itself. The power is well below the 228 hp of the AMB 001 Pro, which did not need to meet emissions and noise limits, and narrowly surpasses that of the Ducati Panigale V2, which delivers 122 hp of 890 cm³.

Brough Superior informs that the AMB 002 weighs 190 kg, without specifying whether the value corresponds to dry weight or in running order. At the front, the double swingarm suspension was developed to contain the bike’s dive under braking, a principle also employed in the Honda Gold Wing.

Short series and price on request

Each example will be assembled by hand at the Brough Superior factory in Toulouse, France, the same unit responsible for the previous motorcycles in the partnership. The statement does not provide values, but the history of the line gives a reference: the AMB 001, restricted to 100 units, was launched in 2020 for 108 thousand euros (R$ 642 thousand). The Pro version, limited to 88 copies and with 228 hp, was advertised for around 200 thousand pounds in the British market (R$ 1,3 million).

None of the three motorcycles was officially offered in Brazil, where Aston Martin operates only with cars. The homologation for the streets, however, changes the profile of the product: for the first time the motorcycle of the partnership can be licensed and run outside the circuits, which tends to increase the interest of collectors.
