Zeekr released a video in which the foam on the seat of its 009 electric minivan is run over by nine cars and, subsequently, by a 20-ton truck. According to the luxury brand of the Geely group, the material came out of the test with no change in structure and no loss of performance in vibration absorption.
In the video, published on the 21st, a block of foam was placed on the ground and crushed by nine Zeekr models, from the 1.9-ton urban crossover X to the 009, 2.9 tons. The 007 sedan, the 7 GT, the 7X SUV, the 001, the Mix minivan , the 8X and the 9X also passed over the piece, adding up to about 20 tons.
Soon after, it was the turn of the Farizon Homtruck H heavy truck, from the commercial vehicle brand of the same group.
The demonstration is promotional material from the automaker itself, without independent verification. It was Zeekr who conducted the subsequent measurements and who claims that the foam maintained the cushioning properties.
Three-layer
structure According to the manufacturer, the 009 seat uses a layered internal architecture that the company calls a sandwich structure. The upper layer is made of high-resilience foam; the middle layer, high-density foam and fast response; and the bottom, softer foam. The set would have vibration dampening performance 1.5 times higher than that of a common automotive seat foam, according to Zeekr.
The seats are covered in Nappa leather. The seats in the second row rotate 180º, recline in zero gravity mode and bring electric leg support, massage with 22 points, heating and ventilation.
Electric up to 925 hp

Sold only in China, the 009 measures 5.22 meters long, 2.02 meters wide and 1.81 meters high, with a wheelbase of 3.21 meters. The entry-level version has a 422 hp front electric motor and a 108 kWh battery, with a range of 740 km by the Chinese CLTC cycle — the equivalent of 607 km in the stricter European WLTP standard. The two-motor configuration reaches 925 hp, with a 115 kWh battery and a range of 720 km in the CLTC, or 590 km in the WLTP.
Prices range from R$ 334 thousand to R$ 357 thousand (439,800 to 469,800 yuan). The marketing action comes at a time of retraction of the model: from January to August 2026, there were 12,405 units delivered in the Chinese market, a drop of 12.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
