Enkei, a traditional Japanese wheel manufacturer, has announced the launch of a limited edition of its most revered model, the RPF1, in collaboration with the McLaren Formula 1 team. The partnership brings the iconic “Papaya Orange” shade — the British team’s trademark — and the “Satin Black” finish to the aftermarket, catering to enthusiasts looking to combine track heritage with street performance.
The RPF1 is widely recognized in the automotive world for its lightness and resistance, being one of the primary choices for track projects and track days. In this special series, Enkei retains the double-spoke design that harkens back to the wheels used by McLaren in F1 during the turn of the millennium, but updates the aesthetic appeal for popular models such as the Honda Civic, Mazda Miata and Toyota GR86.

The line will be offered in three distinct specifications, each aimed at a niche application:
- 15×8 inches: 4×100 drilling and +28 offset. This version uses the RPF1 RS mold, which features a rim with a flatter profile and less convex radii.
- 17×9 inches: 5×100 hole and +35 offset, ideal for Subaru/Toyota platform models.
- 18×8.5 inches: 5×114.3 hole and +30 offset, standard measurement for various modern sports cars.
Global distribution is centralized in the Sensei6 company, with prices ranging between US$ 333 and US$ 462 (approximately R$ 1.660 and R$ 2.300 in direct conversion) per unit. The value maintains the brand’s competitive positioning, although the limited nature of the production should raise the status of the component among collectors.
Interested parties should pay attention to the deadline: the application window for this official collaboration closes on April 27. As it is an on-demand production with McLaren licensing, there is no forecast for new batches after the end of current sales.
