Porsche painted a Taycan ‘vomit’ green — and the color divided opinions on the internet

Named Greek Street Green, the satin paint of the Taycan Soho House One copies the façade of the first Soho House club and took hundreds of hours

The most talked about Porsche of the week does not stand out for its power, but for its color. The brand has unveiled a unique example of the Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo whose star is the paint: an unusual green, satin finish, which required hundreds of hours of manual work – and which has already earned the nickname “vomit green” in part of the specialized press. Created by the Sonderwunsch customization division, the car was born from a long-standing partnership between Porsche and the British club Soho House, which has already yielded other cultural actions.

Named Greek Street Green, the metallic tone reproduces exactly the green of the façade of the first unit of Soho House, at number 40 Greek Street, in London. The goal of copying the color of the property required fine-tuning pigment and brightness: Porsche resorted to a variation of the Paint to Sample Plus program, which develops exclusive colors to order — a process that, in this case, took hundreds of hours to reach the result and the satin finish.

The care did not stop at the bodywork. A decorative strip was applied by hand, in the color SH One Brass, and the Soho House logo was reproduced on the back cover. The wheels, in contrast, were painted in Monteverde Green. All made to order by Sonderwunsch, Porsche’s arm for individualization projects that escape the catalog.

Inside, the ambiance imitates the interiors of Soho Home, a decoration brand linked to the club: Murphy Jacquard fabric in chocolate tone, with a geometric pattern inspired by the 180 House unit, brown Truffle leather, open-pore wood details and a variable transparency glass ceiling with a laser-engraved design.

The entire transformation is aesthetic: the mechanics are the same as the Taycan Turbo S. The 105 kWh battery powers two electric motors that, together, deliver 952 hp and 113.2 kgfm of torque with launch control activated. These are enough numbers to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and reach 260 km/h.

Soho House One is a one-off piece, with no serial production schedule, and debuts at the Icons of Porsche event at the Silverstone edition on June 20 and 21. The showcase comes at a curious time: Porsche has just retired the Taycan station wagons — Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo — in the United States, due to low demand, although they are still on sale in other markets.
