Weighing more than 3 tons and equipped with electric motors, the new Chinese giant promises first-class autonomy and comfort
HIMA, the automotive alliance led by technology giant Huawei, has unveiled the specifications of the Maextro V800, its new bet for the ultra-high-end minivan segment. As a result of a partnership with JAC Motors, the model emerged through the hologation document for sales in China, consolidating itself as a kind of “Chinese Rolls-Royce” in the format of an executive minivan.
The Maextro V800 impresses with its size and the robustness of its construction. With a length of 5.5 meters and a wheelbase of 3.43 m, the vehicle weighs 3.2 tons, reflecting the extensive use of acoustic insulation and noble finishes. Although it was initially approved with three rows of seats for six occupants, the market is waiting for an executive configuration with only four seats, focused on offering maximum privacy and convenience for VIP passengers.

The V800 is the fourth pillar of the HIMA ecosystem, which already encompasses brands such as Aito and Stelato. Huawei’s strategy is to dominate luxury corporate transport, which is now polarized between Toyota Alphard and European vans. To this end, the model bets on adaptive air suspension and power steering systems, allowing the Chinese giant to offer a connected platform that redefines mobile comfort standards in the Asian market.

Under the body, the minivan uses the EREV (extended range electric vehicle) system. In this set, a 1.5 turbo engine acts exclusively as a generator, while real traction is guaranteed by two electric motors that, combined, deliver 523 hp and 68,6 kgfm. Powered by CATL batteries of 85.5 kWh, the model reaches 280 km of autonomy in purely electric mode. With prices estimated at 1 million yuan (about R$ 710 thousand), the V800 seeks to repeat the phenomenon of reservations of the S800 sedan.
