The Chinese Li Auto presented this Wednesday (26) the Li Auto i9, its new six-seater electric SUV and the largest utility ever made by the brand. Sold in a single version, called Home, the model costs 369,800 yuan (about R$ 282.9 thousand) and has already started to be delivered in China. The most striking promise is in the aerodynamics: drag coefficient is 0.215, the lowest among the series SUVs in the world, according to the manufacturer.
The i9 measures 5.23 m in length, 1.97 m in width and 1.75 m in height, with a wheelbase of 3.17 m. Despite its size, the minimum turning circle is 10.6 m, the result of electronic steering without mechanical connection with the wheels and the steering of the rear axle, both standard.
The body has rounded shapes, a sloping windshield, partially recessed door handles and few creases. The closed front has the Star Ring headlights, with adaptive high beam (ADB).

Cabin that becomes a living room, bedroom and cinema
The cabin is finished in three layers of colors and four zero-gravity seats that can work at the same time. The seats in the second row rotate in both directions and, combined with a table installed in the cabin, allow for different arrangements. According to Li Auto, the space can be transformed into a living room, bedroom, cinema or private environment for changing clothes.
The equipment list includes a 10-liter electric refrigerator that cools and heats, a 9.3.6-channel audio system with 29 speakers and 4,960 W of maximum power, a 29-inch front panoramic screen with 6K resolution and a 21-inch rear monitor in 4K, which slides back and forth.

544 hp and 500 km recharge in ten minutes
The mechanics bring together two electric motors and all-wheel drive, with an asynchronous unit on the front axle and a permanent magnet synchronous unit on the rear. The combined power reaches 544 hp and 67,3 kgfm, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,9 seconds.
The ternary lithium battery has 101 kWh and accepts 5C recharging. The declared range is 705 km in the CLTC cycle, a notoriously optimistic Chinese protocol, which usually far exceeds what Inmetro measures in Brazil. According to Li Auto, ten minutes of recharging in compatible infrastructure adds up to 500 km.
As standard, the SUV comes with a Mach M100 chip and a front LiDAR sensor. The optional Embodied Intelligence package, worth 30,000 yuan (about R$ 23 thousand), adds a second chip and three more LiDAR, in addition to the Mach VLA driving model, aimed at power steering on urban roads and highways. The structure features 11 airbags, double ring construction on the doors with 2,000 MPa steel and redundant power supply.
The first units come out with CATL batteries. Later, the i9 will use cells designed by Li Auto itself and manufactured by Sunwoda. There is no forecast for launch in Brazil.
