The German brand's largest SUV bets on electrification and technological package to consolidate leadership in the ultra-luxury segment
The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC AMG Line is the new German model in Brazil, arriving at dealerships with a price of R$ 1,055,900. The GLS — Mercedes’ most exquisite SUV — received specific design updates and a significant increase in the technological package. The German manufacturer’s focus remains on offering space and comfort for up to seven occupants, positioning the vehicle as the equivalent of the S-Class among SUVs.

Under the hood, the GLS 450 retains the in-line six-cylinder engine, but now aided by electrification to optimize consumption. The 48V mild hybrid system has an integrated starter/generator that provides 20 hp and 20.4 kgfm of additional torque at acceleration rates. The set delivers a combined power of 381 hp, managed by the nine-speed automatic transmission and the permanent all-wheel drive system. Handling is complemented by the air suspension, which uses adaptive damping to filter out irregularities in the ground.

In terms of safety, the SUV features the GUARD 360° system, aimed at remote monitoring of the parked vehicle, and MULTIBEAM LED headlights, which adjust the beam of light to avoid glare. Also noteworthy is the maneuver assistant with 360° cameras and the exit alert, which detects the approach of obstacles when opening the doors, ensuring the protection of passengers and cyclists.
