Mercedes-AMG One owner paid more than R$ 1 thousand per km driven, in review

Formula 1-derived hybrid hypercar to be auctioned with exclusive paint and maintenance that cost more than $44,000

An exclusive example of the Mercedes-AMG One will be auctioned later this month, but what draws the most attention is not just its rarity or vibrant green paint, but because it has accumulated a maintenance bill of € 37,610 (approximately R$240 thousand) after driving only 185 kilometers.

Limited to 275 units, the AMG One was born after years of development to adapt a hybrid set derived from Formula 1 for street use. The result was a 1,049 hp hypercar, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaching 352 km/h.

Even though it was practically unused, the owner carried out the so-called “Revision A” and renewed the car’s warranty until February 2028. Much of the bill came from labor: 80 hours of service were charged at €395 per hour. The parts are also impressive, with an air filter of € 1,872, transmission oil filter of € 2,300 and even a drain plug of € 150.

The specimen that will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s, and also stands out for its visual configuration. Painted in the exclusive Reingrün shade, an option that cost €27,500, the model combines a vibrant green finish with exposed matte carbon fiber accents on the front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and air intake on the roof.

The matte black magnesium wheels and the gloss black brake calipers reinforce the sporty proposal. In the cabin, the finish features Magma Gray Nappa leather with green stitching, in addition to a wide application of carbon fiber and a sound system signed by Sonus Faber.

The package also includes original accessories, such as custom Sennheiser headphones, tool kit and items for installing competition belts.
