Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri's helmets have become 793-piece building sets, created to celebrate McLaren's 1,000th F1 Grand Prix
McLaren and LEGO have transformed Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri’s helmets into buildable replicas, launched to celebrate the team’s 1,000th Grand Prix in Formula 1. The two sets, created in partnership with the drivers themselves, hit stores on June 3 and inspired the real helmets worn by the duo on the track.
It’s not the first time F1 has gained LEGO versions of helmets: Ferrari opened the series by putting on sale, in early May, the replicas of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s helmets. Now it’s the turn of the reigning constructors’ champion.

The collaboration is designed to mark McLaren’s 1000th Grand Prix, bringing together ideas from the drivers and the LEGO design team. The models have a detailed finish and reproduce the colors of each driver.
Oscar Piastri’s helmet combines papaya, the team’s color, with blue, the driver’s favorite tone. Among the details are the number 81 and prints inspired by the special livery of the 1000th GP. The set has 793 pieces and includes a minifigure of Piastri himself.

Lando Norris, current world champion, brings the iconic fluorescent graphics and elements of the paint from the 1000th GP. Now stamped with the number 1, it also gained a new graphic pattern. Like Piastri’s, it adds up to 793 pieces and comes with the driver’s minifigure.

Sold separately, the helmets come mounted on a black base with a plate that reproduces the signature of each rider, and are already on sale.
The milestone, however, had a bitter taste on the tracks. McLaren’s 1000th GP was the Monaco Grand Prix itself, held a few days later: Norris retired after 43 laps, with a power unit problem, and Piastri saved the team by finishing fourth, scoring 12 points. The victory went to Kimi Antonelli.
